About me
I'm Casper Kuijper. I make films, and more and more often I'm in them myself, as a presenter and interviewer.
I didn't go to film school. I spent years working in Amsterdam restaurants, studied Coastal and Marine Management, and found out along the way that filming is what I like best. My first documentary was about the crayfish, an invasive species in the Netherlands: can we simply eat the problem away?
For the Coral Triangle Center in Indonesia I made films about their conservation projects. For my graduation I spent days aboard shrimp boats from Den Oever. That became De Voedselbrug, a documentary about what it means for a fishing community to see fishermen have to give up their work, and an organization wanting to make a change. Recently I presented and interviewed the films for Catch & Connect, the national networking day of the Dutch fishing industry.
I like talking to people you don't usually hear from, and telling their story so that someone with no background knowledge gets it straight away.
What I can make for you: Films and short series for organisations, documentaries, voice-over and interviews. I handle the idea, research, interviews and edit, and bring a compact crew when the project calls for it.
Feel free to email me, even if you don't know exactly what you're looking for yet.
